In February 7-9, 2018, the National consultations on development and implementation of the national action plan on antibiotic resistance containing. The event was held in Kyiv by the World Health Organization in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Public Health Center. Key partners from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the FAO, the National Academies of Medical and Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine were also engaged to these consultations. IVM NAAS representatives were engaged in this event as well, they are Dr. of Sc. in the veterinary field Ayshpur Olena, PhD Ukhovska Tetiana, PhD Mushtuk Iryna.
The aim of the national consultations was to discuss the draft of the government strategy to combat antibiotic resistance. All the progress obtained during the consultations will be used to design the State Strategy for Combating Antimicrobial Resistance, which is planned to be approved in 2018.
