The Institute of Veterinary Medicine continues to support children with special needs from a boarding school in Sumy oblast.
This year, before St. Nicholas Day, students of the Bilopillia children boarding school received a gift from the institute staff (various toys, children creativity kits and tasties).

CELEBRATION OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRARIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE

On November 15, the representatives of the IVM NAAN participated in the grand meeting on the 100th anniversary of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. The event was opened by the President of the NAAS Academician of the NAAS Gadzalo Y.M. The Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Kovalyova O.V., the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Strikha M.V., the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Zabolotny G.M. were invited for the celebration. Among guests, there also were the Ambassador of South Korea in Ukraine Li Yang Gu, President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, some deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and representatives of all institutions of the NAAS system.

On November 8, the IVM NAAS celebrated the Day of Agricultural Workers. The director, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor, Associate Member of the NAAS Nychyk S. and the leader of the Trade Union PhD Vasyanovich O.M. congratulated the IVM staff. Due to the occasion, the karavai (traditional Ukrainian cake) was presented to employees as a symbol of unity and loyalty for daily work, despite the hard times.

The round table was attended by: First Vice-President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS), academician of NAAS Gladiy M.V., academician-secretary of the Department of Veterinary Medicine NAAS, correspondent member of NAAS Mandyhra M.S., Director of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine (IVM) of NAAS, Corresponding Member of NAAS Nychyk S.A., Director of the Ternopil Research Station of IVM NAAS Stravsky Ya.S., Director of the Experimental Station of Epizootology IVM NAAS Sachuk R.M., Director of the Ternopil State Agricultural Experimental Station of the Institute of Forage and Agriculture of Podillya NAAS Yashchuk T.S. and leading staff of scientific institutions of NAAS.
On October 3, 2018, at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the NAAS (IVM NAAS) the scientific seminar “Interaction between Nanotechnology and Veterinary and Humane Medicine” was held, organized by the IVM NAAS and the F.D. Ovcharenko Institute of Biocolloidal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine. Leading scientists from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, ERP Clinical Center “Vetmedservis” and the State Scientific Institution “State Center for Innovative Biotechnology” attended the seminar.

EXHIBITION FAIR OF YOUNG BREEDING DAIRY AND MEAT CATTLE, SHEEP, POULTRY AND RABBITS

On September 20, 2018, the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the NAAS took an active part in the Exhibition Fair of breeding agricultural animals and poultry in the State Enterprise “RF “Shevchenkivske” of the Institute of Bioenergetic Cultures and Sugar Beets of the NAAS in Denykhivka, Kiev oblast. The exhibition was opened by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Sheremeta V.V.
A scientific seminar “Nanotechnology’s interaction with veterinary and humane medicine” will hold at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
The seminar is hosted by the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the NAAS and the F.D. Ovcharenko Institute of Biocolloidal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine. The main topics of talks will be devoted to the prospects of metal nanoparticles use in veterinary medicine field, veterinary preparations safety assessment and the relevance of the assessment at the stage of veterinary nanopreparations development, nanoparticles metal ferrites in pharmaceutical forms for veterinary medicine, and other informative results of researches.
The seminar will be held in October 3 2018 at 11:00 am at the IVM: 30 Donetska str., Kiev.

Results of the international conference “CURRENT EPIDEMIOLOGICAL CHALLENGES IN ONE HEALTH APPROACH”

By the results of the international conference “CURRENT EPIDEMIOLOGICAL CHALLENGES IN ONE HEALTH APPROACH”, which was held in June 11-15, 2018 in Ternopil, a Resolution concerning the most relevant issues was prepared. The Resolution was sent to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The content of the document is available for review.
